I gave Kajabi and Utobo a spin to see which course creation platform works better for me. After a couple of weeks of testing, I realized both are great for creating, marketing, and selling courses online. However, their features are designed to address pain points at different stages of business growth.

Kajabi is an all-in-one platform that leverages AI to help you quickly create, market, and sell your courses online. The platform also has a strong online community that offers peer support and engagement.

Utobo, on the other hand, has a simple and easy-to-use dashboard that makes course creation and marketing straightforward and intuitive, though it requires more manual input — without AI assistance.

  • Price
  • Course creation
  • Marketing
  • Integrations

I also looked at the user interface and customer support for each platform.

Quickly monetize your knowledge” 🧑‍💻💸

In 2010, Kenny Reuter was finding it hard to monetize his “how to” videos. So, he joined hands with Travis Rosser and started Kajabi — a course creation platform that helps experts monetize their educational content easily.

Kajabi includes exciting features like the AI hub that offers free tools course creators can use to come up with a course or a course outline in just a few minutes. They can edit the outlines to suit their audience’s needs before publishing. Along with a plethora of templates, this speeds up course creation and gives you extra time to focus on other areas of your business. Also, if you want to interact with other like-minded creators in your space you can join Kajabi’s vibrant Facebook community of 42,000 experts developing various courses in different fields.

Raj Sahu, an experienced startup entrepreneur, founded Utobo.com after realizing that learning was quickly moving online. But there weren’t many course-creating platforms that bring all the tools creators need in one place for a smooth user experience. That’s where Utobo comes in.

Utobo is a feature-rich platform that breaks things down step-by-step to make it easier for experts to create a course, design a landing page, and reach out to subscribers through email automation. It allows you to integrate with common third-party software to create blogs, conduct your email marketing campaigns, and receive payments via PayPal or Stripe. Utobo is also flexible enough for creators that have an existing tech stack — giving them access to 5000+ integrations with Zapier.

Its clean and simple dashboard is ideal for newbies or solopreneurs looking for an easy-to-learn platform to start up as well as grow their businesses.
