I’ve been using Unbounce and Leadpages for over two weeks now — building landing pages, running traffic to them, collecting leads, and optimizing conversions. Here’s my review of how they compare:
Leadpages is an affordable and beginner-friendly landing page manager that helps small businesses quickly establish an online presence.
It includes a simple page builder with built-in conversion rate optimization (CRO) tools and an AI content generator to quickly create landing pages and simple websites. It also supports analytics, basic lead management, and 92 third-party integrations to expand its functionality. But Leadpages isn’t well equipped for large businesses with dedicated page design or marketing teams that need a highly customizable page builder and powerful CRO tools.
On the other hand, Unbounce is more expensive but comes with a more robust page builder and more advanced CRO tools.
Its signature feature is Smart Traffic Routing which relies on AI to optimize your visitors’ experience for maximum conversions. It also includes an AI-powered Simple Page Builder and content generator. The feature set makes Unbounce a compelling option for solo professionals or marketing teams inside large organizations but an expensive overkill for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and beginners.
But Leadpages and Unbounce aren’t good options if you’re looking for one platform to build and manage your entire digital business.
You can’t use Unbounce to build a complete website, not just landing pages. Neither of them supports CRM features for lead management, you can’t run e-mail campaigns on them, and they don’t allow you to build, manage, and sell digital products.
That’s why I included Kajabi in this comparison.
Kajabi is an all-in-one digital business platform for entrepreneurs and established online businesses that need a suite of tools to set up, build, and manage all of their online operations.

Its core feature is the no-code landing page builder that allows anyone—especially beginners—to get online and quickly start collecting leads and sales. One of its stand-out features is Leadmeter, a CRO helper that analyzes your page as you’re building it and suggests improvements based on CRO best practices. Leadpages also supports A/B testing, lead management, and an AI engine for rapid content creation. Kajabi was founded in 2010 by Kenny Rueter and Travis Rosser after Kenny couldn’t find a suitable platform to reliably monetize his “how-to” video. Over the years, Kajabi grew into an all-in-one platform for course creators and helped 50k+ knowledge entrepreneurs make over $4 billion in sales.
While it does support essential landing page creation and optimization tools, its primary focus is on managing every aspect of an online business. You can use it to create a website, including a blog, store, digital products, communities, and a lot more. It also includes email marketing, a CRM, funnel building, workflow automation tools, payments, in-depth analytics, and an AI helper.
Kajabi is an all-in-one platform and comes at a higher initial cost, so it might not be the best option for beginners. However, established creator businesses will have a hard time finding a better and more affordable option for their digital products or services.

Creating a landing page with Leadpages is very straightforward.
It comes with 250+ templates that cover specific pages and use cases. You can sort them (1) over 14 page types, 15 industries, color schemes, popularity, best conversion rates, and more. It supports any use case you can think of so you never have to start from scratch.
Then there’s the drag-and-drop editor.
Its minimalistic design and simple options allow for unmatched ease of use. It supports 18 widgets that cover basic needs to create landing pages; including video (for webinars), buttons, countdown timers, calendar embeds, custom HTML, and checkout.
Other than the Widgets tab, Leadpages comes with more tabs — each serves a specific purpose and equips you with more tools:
- The layout designer — for quickly re-adjusting page sections.
- Sections — section templates to quickly build pages.
- Styles — to modify elements.
- Settings — page settings.
- AI writing assistant — helps you generate copy.
While it doesn’t support any kind of funnel building, you can link pages together to create funnels and track their success with the individual webpage conversion metrics.
Unbounce’s Classic Builder is better than Leadpage’s and has 101 templates, while its Smart Builder still needs some work to catch up.
The Classic Builder comes with 101 templates that cover 11 use cases — not as many as Leadpages but still more than enough to quickly build the most common landing page types.
On the other hand, Unbounce’s Classic page builder is a lot more powerful than Leadpages’.
It offers more element control tools (1) and the element and page properties are more in-depth (3). Its drag-and-drop builder (2) is more advanced — for example, it allows you to position elements any way you want, not just snap them into place.
All of these options give designers way more control over the look and feel of their landing pages. The downside is it might alienate beginner creators or small business owners who don’t have access to design teams and just want to quickly create landing pages.
But this is where Unbounce’s Smart Builder comes in. It’s a step-by-step process with a preview that updates in real-time:
- Choose a template and style.
- Generate the copy with the help of generative AI.
- Complete the page in a simplified landing page builder.
I like where Unbounce is going with this feature but I have to say that it isn’t there yet.
I think it’s kind of awkward to use without lots of iterations of text generation and you still have to modify it heavily to get a useful page at the end. Its use is also limited before you have to subscribe to an extra plan for more tokens.
If you’re looking to build pages fast and want to use AI, go with Leadpages.
Kajabi’s page builder and templates don’t match what Unbounce or Leadpages offer but it offers better tools to manage a whole website.
Kajabi takes a different approach to page building compared to Leadpages and Unbounce.
Its core offer revolves around website builder tools to create and manage an entire online business (1) — including a blog, business pages, landing pages, funnels, store, checkout, products, and more (2).
Essentially, it’s a more streamlined substitute for WordPress.
Meanwhile, it includes 51 landing page templates that cover 7 use cases.
They’re all useful to get started with but, compared to Unbounce and Leadpages, might not always cover what you need.
Kajabi’s page builder is also the least advanced of all three tools.
It includes a drag-and-drop builder (2) and a menu where you can edit the page or each separate element, depending on your selection (1).
Like Leadpages and Unbounce, Kajabi also allows you to set up and use custom domains. It’s essentially a hub where you can manage your entire digital presence.
Kajabi doesn’t only allow you to build a website but also to create and host digital products to sell to your visitors. It supports:
- Courses — Includes a course builder and AI assistant to draft courses. Supports text, video, or audio lessons and includes automations to connect emails, offers, certificates, or upsells.
- Coaching — 1:1 and group coaching with built-in video. Includes a page where clients can schedule sessions.
- Podcast — A simple page where you can manage your podcasts and list them on Apple, Google, and Spotify.
- Communities — Free or paid and can be connected with other products. This is where members can interact with each other and admins with challenges, leaderboards, meetups, and more.
The products are Kajabi’s core functionality and complete its feature set, allowing you to manage your entire digital business in one place: audience acquisition, community management, product and service offers, and sales — no third-party apps or plugins needed.
Winner: Leadpages is the best choice if you want a fast and intuitive page-building experience — it’s the best choice for beginners who want conversion-optimized landing pages. Unbounce is for experts who want tools for complete page customizability. Meanwhile, Kajabi gives you the best user experience control; it’s the best choice if you want to build and manage your entire digital presence in one online hub.

Leadpages makes conversion optimization beginner–friendly and accessible to anyone, no matter their experience.
Leadpages’ key optimization tool is the Leadmeter which compares your page to CRO best practices as you’re building it and suggests improvements.
Another notable feature of Leadpages is the free page review service, where a CRO expert looks at your landing page and offers feedback in up to two business days:
For further optimization, you can set up and run multiple split tests.
You do this by picking a page as the control, duplicating it, and making edits to the duplicate. Leadpages lets you choose as many variations as you want and set how much traffic to route to them. Unbounce also allows this, while Kajabi doesn’t.
Each separate landing page or split test also includes analytics.
Pages show conversion rates, amount of visitors, and earnings, while split tests do the same and also compare the pages with each other. You can also keep track of all your pages’ performance in the main dashboard.
Leadpages includes “Conversion Tools” for lead generation:
- Popups (exit intent, timed, element click)
- and alert bars (static call-to-action, have to include code on your site)
All of these features make Leadpages very beginner-friendly. While using them, it’s easy to feel confident and in control of the page-building, optimization, and testing process, even if you have little experience with CRO.
Unbounce offers Smart Traffic and A/B tests for traffic routing and also includes popups and sticky bars.
Unbounce offers two optimization methods (1):
- Smart Traffic — Automatically routes traffic to your best-converting pages.
- A/B Testing — Manually set how much traffic goes to each page.
You also have access to some basic analytics (2) that include essential information. It isn’t as advanced as Leadpages’ and there’s no dashboard with aggregated data from all landing pages, which means you have to look for it in every separate page’s settings.
Unbounce also includes popups and sticky bars with templates.
It lets you customize them with the same classic builder as landing pages, which means they’re more customizable than what you can do in Leadpages.
Kajabi doesn’t directly include split testing tools, although you can split test landing pages with a few workarounds. It does include basic conversion tools like the two-step opt-in and the exit intent popup though.
But analytics is where Kajabi shines.
You can track opt-ins with the Opt-ins Report, which highlights your highest-performing forms by form submissions, as well as which landing pages collected the most submissions.
Other than the conversion metrics, Kajabi also includes reports on everything you need to run an online business:
- Subscription metrics,
- Product progress,
- Affiliate stats,
- Net revenue,
- Page views,
- and Offers sold.
Winner: Choose Leadpages if you’re a beginner in CRO and want help with optimization. Go with Unbounce if you know what you’re doing and want access to A/B testing tools or if you just want to automate it with AI. Choose Kajabi if you know what you’re doing with CRO, want the best analytics, and aren’t afraid to jump through a few hoops to run effective split tests.
Leadpages vs Unbounce vs Kajabi:

Leadpages comes with a lead management tab where you can see basic data collected from your forms (If you’re on the paid plan, you can use lead magnets to collect data as well).
It shows contact information (1), the lead’s origin (2), the time they were added (3), and if the tool flagged them as spam (4). When a new lead appears, Leadpages sends an email notification to let you know.
While this tool is useful for keeping track of leads, you can’t exactly call it a CRM. Although you can easily export the data (5) into a third-party app if you need more advanced functionality.
Unbounce’s lead tracker is pretty much the same as what you get with Leadpages. the only difference is that it’s hidden in every separate page’s settings and there’s no overview of all leads across all pages, meaning you have to search for data page-by-page.
Like Leadpages, Unbounce also relies on forms to capture leads but it doesn’t support lead magnets.
Kajabi has an actual integrated CRM to manage leads and customers.
It displays all the contact information in one place to help you make quick decisions and lets you categorize leads with custom tags, collect notes your whole team can see, and grant special product offers to each lead via email.
If you open a lead’s profile (1), you can see the exact details of all of your interactions with them and their interaction with your site and products.
It’s also worth mentioning that Kajabi supports CSV lead imports if you’re already using a CRM and want to switch to Kajabi.
Winner: Kajabi has the most comprehensive lead management system. It’s a mini CRM, allowing you to collect leads in one place, tag them, take notes, see all collected contact information, and send emails with special offers to move them down your sales funnel. Leadpages has affordable pricing for beginners and small businesses, Unbounce is more expensive and balloons in cost with scale, while Kajabi is the least accessible on the low end but offers the best value for money for established online businesses.
Both include all core features and enable the main functionality of the platform. You can create unlimited landing pages, optimize them for conversion, A/B test, connect custom domains, generate content with AI, etc. The difference is the pro plan unlocks more advanced features and more domains:

All in all, Leadpages’ pricing is accessible for small businesses and beginners because it includes all the functionality you need to quickly establish a digital presence.
On the other hand, Unbounce comes with 4 paid plans: Launch, Optimize, Accelerate, and Concierge.
The differences between the pricing plans are minor:
- The Launch plan doesn’t include A/B testing and dynamic text replacement.
- Launch and Optimize don’t include publish scheduling and advanced content targeting.
- Concierge offers a dedicated success manager.
The difference between Leadpages’ and Unbounce’s pricing models is that Unbounce limits your monthly visitors and conversions and includes more of them on higher plans.

The comparison with Leadpages is obvious; Unbounce is more expensive.
But the extra cost comes with more advanced features across the board.
For example, the builder is very in-depth, allowing experienced designers to create high-converting landing pages. It also comes with Smart Traffic Routing, which automatically optimizes the customer journey for maximum conversions.
That’s why I see Unbounce as a better option for two audiences:
- Experienced solo business owners, because they can build customized landing pages and leave the conversion optimization to the Smart Traffic AI.
- Larger businesses with dedicated design teams, who can use Unbounce’s advanced page-building tools and customization to their full potential.

Then there’s Kajabi.
It starts at $149/month on the Basic plan, which includes all features and unlimited traffic except the affiliate program, 24/7 customer support, advanced marketing automation, custom branding, and the custom code editor.
This price might seem high compared to the starting price of Leadpages and Unbounce but you get what you pay for — it comes with everything you need to run your whole digital business. And the second plan—Growth—which includes all other unique features except custom code, is only $199/month.
The last plan—Pro—has the biggest jump in cost.
It’s $399/month and unlocks custom code. But that’s not the main reason to upgrade. The main reason is scale because Kajabi limits how many assets you can support on each plan:

When you draw the line, Kajabi supports all business sizes.
The only caveat is that, if you’re just starting out, it might be a hard commitment to make. Considering that it supports pretty much everything a digital business needs at every stage of growth though, it’s perfect for anyone with a proven business plan.
Winner: Leadpages wins on pure accessibility if you’re looking for a simple landing page builder to get your small business on the internet. If you’re looking for an accessible way to build and optimize your landing pages, look into Unbounce, although the scale might not be there. Kajabi is the best option from a pure value-for-money perspective because it includes everything you need for your digital business at every stage of growth but it might be inaccessible to beginners.

After researching and using all three tools and comparing them side-by-side, I can’t say for certain these three are direct competitors.
Leadpages and Unbounce are similar but I see them serving different audiences.
Leadpages is great for beginners and small teams that want to establish their digital presence fast. Meanwhile, Unbounce is perfect for marketing professionals to create custom landing pages and run tests to optimize their marketing campaigns.
Yes, there’s overlap feature-wise but their focuses cater to different audiences.
Then there’s Kajabi, which is in a league of its own.
You can’t call it a landing page builder because it’s much more than that. I see it as the logical next step for Leadpages users (after they’ve gotten their digital business off the ground), or as a tool to use in parallel to Leadpages. Meanwhile, it caters to a completely different audience than Unbounce.
At the end of the day, I can’t make your decision because I don’t know your specific business needs. I encourage you to test the apps yourself and see if they can do the job for you — they all offer generous free trials (You can even try Kajabi for a whole month!). But based on my tests and experience, here’s my verdict:
Use Leadpages if:
- You’re a beginner or a small business looking to establish a digital presence.
- You want an affordable tool to analyze your marketing campaigns.
- You’re not experienced with CRO.
Use Unbounce if:
- You’re a marketing professional or team in a larger business.
- You’re looking for a powerful landing page tool.
- You’re experienced with CRO.
Use Kajabi if:
- You want a tool to create and manage your entire digital business, not just landing pages.
- You want to create and sell digital products like courses, coaching, or communities.
- You don’t need A/B testing or the best landing page builder on the market.
